There was only one playdate last week that showcased three games in the City of Smiles Bacolod in Negros. As you know when teams are on the road they are displaced that the results are usually unexpected. Games through November 4.
1. (1) Foton Tornadoes (3-0)
Foton was pushed by Generika in every set of this game. That is what the scores say but the Tornadoes steam rolled them. They are the real deal.
2. (2) Petron Blaze Spikers (3-1)
The Petron vs F2 Logistics game was tension filled as the audience know what the two teams can bring. They are the finalists of the All Filipino Cup. Petron lost however in lieu of their three impressive wins we rank them second.
3. (3) F2 Logistics Cargo Movers (1-0)
F2 moves the ball like nobody else in the league. We look forward to more explosive hits from Maria Perez, Kennedy Bryan and their local crew.
4. (4) Cignal HD Spikers (1-3)
Cignal lost a five setter to Cocolife in a crowd pleasing manner. But the HD Spikers played without their resident asset Rachel Daquis so there's that. Due to their pedigree Cignal clings to fourth place.
5. (7) Cocolife Asset Managers (1-2)
Dennise Lazaro made the comeback possible when she made an attack all the way from the edge of the free zone to score at the other side. They promised to make the semi final round.
6. (6) Iriga City Oragons (1-0)
For Iriga City who lost their scorer Gretchel Soltones to suspension hope springs eternal.
7. (5) Generika Ayala Lifesavers (1-3)
What is good about this tournament is that everyone has lots of chances to recover. Who knows they are definitely suited up to surprise any team in the quarter final round.
8. (8) Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors (0-2)
What is up with the Sta. Lucia these days? A date with the shining F2 Logistics mob. Don't give up ladies.
9. (9) UST Growling Tigresses (0-0)
We are curious whether UST is here to participate or to participate. Yukie Inamasu (Japan) is here to win some games for the Golden Tigresses.
