Correcting Pre-Historic Philippine History

It were really the Indonesians, Bruneians and Malaysians of Borneo who were the first settlers in pre-historic Philippines which was millions of years ago or Filipinos traveled in Borneo or we have a parallel evolution. If Indonesia has the Java Man dated millions of years ago, the Philippines has the Tabun Man dated at the same time. We suppose Aetas were the first settlers because they remained in their primitive man. They have to wear thick fur to cross ice bridges. Another reason is proximity. The Philippines can travel to Borneo by sea and land. The same goes for the rest of South East Asia.

Once Upon A Time In The Philippines

Once upon a time in the Philippines, there was this Swiss magician showing off his skills in the streets of Manila. Although the locals did not understand the language, they somehow understood the performances and really enjoyed it. One time the Swiss covered a cup of water with a handkerchief. By one swift and fluid motion, he made the cup disappear to the amazement of the crowd. “Voila,” he said. “Ahhh ‘wala’ daw,” said one of the locals while others nodded in agreement. And so, from then on, when things are missing, locals would refer to it as “wala”. Then he traveled south and saw a great lake upon a lagoon. "It looks like Lausanne". "Luzon daw", said one of the locals. And so, from then on, thr big group of islands in the north of the Philippines was collectively known as Luzon.

Writing Blogs and Video Blogging

The main difference is that i can write an article in 15 minutes while it takes me 3 hours to make a video. Yeah i do this to earn money from ads but i love what i'm doing. My dream is to make a podcast about sports and entertainment. I think speaking on camera just takes time getting used to. I have a project actually, i'm drawing plans for a residential house and i will teach how to manage scheduling, manpower, materials, tools and equipment. I named my second YouTube channel as VC BUILDERS. Time to get serious with my career as a Civil Engineer. Work hard, play hard. We have time to work. We have time to play.

Philippines Bags Its First Gold Medal in the Olympics [In Retrospect]

Hidilyn Diaz scored the breakthrough as she edged her opponent from China in a neck and neck battle in the Women's Weightlifting 55 kg division. Diaz also broke the Olympic Record in the Snatch and Jerk Event and Overall Points. It was a momentous occasion as the Philippines has never won a Gold Medal in Olympic history.
Sure there were could have beens but it does not count. There was a filipina diver who trained with her american coach but they married before the Olympic. When she won two Gold Medals it was counted to the USA tally. There was also Arianne Cerdeña who won the Gold Medal in Women's Bowling which was an exhibition sport so it does not count. So Hidilyn Diaz' success somewhat made up for our frustrations.
Speaking of frustrations, we have yet to win that elusive Gold Medal in Boxing. Carlo Paalam and Nesthy Petecio came so close that their Silver Medals were bitter-sweet. There was also disappointment in Eumir Marcial's Bronze Medal finish. He was probably the most bemedalled amateur boxer in Philippine Boxing internationally. However our hopes are high that Coach Ronald Chavez will continue to train our boxers and discover new talents. He was a talented boxer, a product of then Mayor Mel Lopez and his ABAP Go For Gold. We won 8 boxing Gold Medals in the SEA Games and 3 Gold Medals in the Asian Games. Onyok Velasco won a Silver Medal and his brother Roel Velasco won a Bronze Medal. Boxing is probably the only martial arts we can excel at the world level as Judo and Taekwondo have advanced techniques in other countries. Looking at other South East Asian nations, they won Olympic Golds in Swimming and Badminton. We can train our swimmers in the states like Joseph Schooling of Singapore, who edged Michael Phelps for the Gold Medal, and Badminton is or was Indonesia's bread and butter in the Olympic Gold. When it comes to track and field like running, we have to excel first in Asia and then the world. Like EJ Obiena who finished 7th in Men's Pole Vault. Tokyo was Hidilyn Diaz' 4th Olympics. Our athletes should do their best to outdo their previous records. Same goes for Margielyn Didal who qualified for the finals of Skateboarding. In Rowing, Chris Nievarez introduced us to Single Sculls. Its a different technique than that of Dragon Boat Racing where we excel. But rowing is rowing, and paddling is paddling. We can excel here. So thats it at the moment. I am juggling speaking and writing at the same time. If you have questions how to activate Google Adsense on your blogs, let me know. The Pelican Brief by John Grisham [Book Review]

The Pelican Brief is about a brief report written by a law student named Darby Shaw about a prospective lead on the murders of two Supreme Court Justices - Abraham Rosenberg and Glenn Jensen. Khamel, an international terrorist was paid millions for the job. The event was so big and horrible that many were shocked and compelled to investigate - that includes the media, FBI, CIA, Interpol, the White House, lawyers, law students, and laymen alike. Darby Shaw spent four days writing the brief and thought it was a long shot. She mindlessly gives it to her boyfriend Thomas Callahan who was also her professor at Tulane. Callahan then passed it to Gavin Verheek, his bestfriend who was legal counsel of the FBI. Verheek passed it to his chum FBI Deputy Director K.O. Lewis and from then the report was became known as the Pelican Brief made its way to the White House and media. Darby Shaw lives in New Orleans, Louisiana where the pelican is the state bird. FBI Director F. Denton Voyles was somewhat delighted as the White House was giving them the flak for the errors in guarding the justices. Apparently it has something that would implicate the President. Voyles makes an agreement with the president that they, especially Chief of Staff Fletcher Coal, whom Voyles described as a mad dog, would give the FBI a break. But when Professor Callahan and his Porsche was bombed to bits and pieces and Legal Counsel Verheek was found murdered at his house, they can no longer ignore that the Pelican Brief has someone agitated. Washington Post reporter Gray Grantham was following his own leads. He has an informer on the White House and an informant named Garcia called him out of nowhere. Meanwhile Darby Shaw, who wrote the brief, was literally running for her life. Luckily for her, her father left her an inheritance to last her a lifetime. She was living from hotel to hotel, city to city and state to state. Darby Shaw decided to call the Washington Post and eventually made a rendezvous with Grantham. She also had a meeting with Khamel the assassin who posed as Verheek, Callahan's bestfriend. By a stroke of luck, Khamel was killed by one of the CIA operatives following her around. Grantham tracked Garcia as a lawyer named Curtis Morgan but he was one week dead. He was eliminated because what of he knew. Later, Morgan's widow gives them a key to a locker which has damning evidences on the suspects. Curtis Morgan, who was fearing for his life wrote an affidavit, have it notarized and prepared a tape. He would expose his would-be murderers. Victor Mattiece was a millionaire who has donated millions to the President although he says there was nothing illegal in it. He plans to convert marshlands into oil rigs - his land was sitting on billions of dollars of oil and natural gas. However the land is a protected wildlife reserve. There was a memo that retiring Justices Rosenberg and Jensen will be good for their cause. The two justices were staunch environmentalists. They believe in the code that the environment is above individuals, individuals above the governement, and the government above businesses. If the President can appoint two justices who would see things their way is good news as two of nine justices can sway decisions. Victor Mattiece and his lawyers are guilty of the murders. Mattiece would hide as he is out of the country, one lawyer committed suicide while the others will face the charges. Chief of Staff Coal took the fall for the President who also seen in a picture with Mattiece. FBI Director Voyles would protect himself with a recording that the President was saying lay-off on the Pelican Brief investigations. They were saying Gray Grantham would win the Pulitzer prize for this piece. Probably, they say this was the biggest case in twenty years and he cracked it up. But his mind was somewhere else. His adventures with Darby Shaw has developed a romantic partnership but she was not ready for a new relationship. Later Gray Grantham joins Darby Shaw somewhere in a Carribean villa where they will take a long vacation.
