Candido

[Hi guys, I wrote this story in 2004, I have translated it in English for our foreign audience. My grandpa actually hails from Santo Tomas, Batangas - a province one and a half hour South of Manila where this story was based.]

Candido

Kinawayan nila ako at ako e naeenganyong makiisa at makisayaw, makikanta at makisigaw.

Candido

My name is Candido, grew up in Santo Tomas in the province of Batangas. These buildings in Manila are so tall compared to our town in which you only see carabaos and farmlands. I have been wanting to get here in Manila but because we are poor I cannot afford it to go here. I really appreciate it that my Mama gives me this present in my twenty-first birthday.

However never did it entered my mind that people in Manila have bad attitude. Here is what happened. When I boarded out of the bus, I saw this big picture of my idol action star FPJ, together with a lady with tantalizing eyes that seems to seduce me. I immediately entered the enclosure and realizes it is a theater which shows shows. The cashier is beautiful and I can see her legs which is white okay. But what bad attitude she has when she teared my ticket. I was extremely hurt so I did not wait for her explanation and I went away not looking back.

I was hungry so I looked for a place to have food and I am fortunate to have found one in a cool place where there is an image of a red colored bee. So this is how it is in Manila, the local people eats even the bees. I am not picky so I was not discouraged to enter. In our province, we even eat snakes and lizards. Before I passed the entrance though, is I removed my pair of slippers which is the custom in our province. They seem nice because they greet me Good Morning a number of times. They did not force me to eat bees and I am quite satisfied with the chicken, I even eat it with my bare hands. However when I went out, I cannot find my slippers. I was saddened once more and quietly went away.

Not so far away is a crowd that is gathering. They have flags, dancing, singing and shouting. They waved at me and I am encouraged to join them in dancing, singing and shouting. I am ecstatic when they give me the microphone so I am all the more energized. I am already happy in the company of my new friends when the police came and hauled us to prison. I am sad and questioned myself - it is really how it is here in Manila, they are bad people? They even asked me if I am member of a militant group when I only just arrived from the province. Tsk tsk tsk.

So now they set me free. I thought I just go home with my bitter experience. But no, I will not tell Mama about this. My dearest Mama, I do not want her to know that all what she worked for in giving me a present went for naught. Absolutely, that is I what I do. Goodbye now, cruel Manila.

Baguio City Travel Guide

This was the last time I went to Baguio the summer capital of the Philippines. It has a cool 16°C weather. Around May of 2015. I've been there several times. A change of surroundings is always healthy when you are stressed. However you check out the food carefully when you travel. Trust me you don't want diarrhea in an unfamiliar place. With the up and down roads of the Baguio mountains, you can really lose weight. Maybe this the reason I never seen an obese person there.

1. Travel light. Okay this I think you should bring - three shirts, three underwear, 1 pair of socks, a shorts and a long pants. Your shirts and underwear you can wash them everyday. Don't be lazy. I actually brought 5 shirts which is irritating because of the weight and have to purchase underwear cause I forgot to bring some. The point and shoot camera or your mobile phone is okay unless you shoot photos for a living, you bring the dslr.

2. Book early. So I went to Victory liner in Cubao which is nearest my place so I was in there before six a.m. Little did I know that buses were full already because of bookings. I was able to take the 8am ride to Baguio. I admit I am afraid of heights so looking at the ravines and not knowing if the driver is capable enough I was uncomfortable. I was like no, no, no when the driver overtakes a couple of slow-moving trucks. I mean the rule for overtaking is do it on a straight road and you have visibility of vehicles going on the two directions. Not a good idea on a dangerous curves or bends.

3. Taxi is for lazy people. Having boarded out of the bus, this guy gave me a brochure for a hotel costing Php 2,200/day which is way beyond my budget. So I asked where Sessions road is and asked for the jeepneys going there. I saw people scampering for taxis. On second thought, they might not be lazy but rather they can afford it and wanted their children to be comfortable.

3. Renting a lodge. I know from the internet that Sessions road is the place to be so that must be the center area of the Baguio. As is my guide, you have to go away from the center to find inexpensive hotels. About three to four blocks away after several inquiries, I found the Diamond Inn. I could have taken the 500-single room but I prefer to have a bathroom inside my room so I have to pay 800 pesos a day.

4. Reconnaissance. The first 2 days is like feeling out the place so when you have estimate of what to do and where to go, you also now know when to go home. So knowing this on the second day I reserved a bus ride for Cubao. Turns out this is unnecessary cause the bus ride back home has plenty of seats and so I went home earlier than booked. Nonetheless do this for precaution.

5. Buy fruits. These are like your snacks so you don't have to overspend. I end up overspending nonetheless having bought more fruits than I can consume. And the inconvenience of bringing it home.

6. Burnham park. This gets old in no time but what is important is the jeepneys around Burnham park which gets you to many places. So in the third day, I saw this Camp John Hay signboard and said to myself why not. Its a mountain trek maybe 45 degrees in steepness. Go at your own pace and take selfies if you want. Okay I am be boasting a little here but I actually drived up and down on a 75 degree inclined hill. Hahaha okay maybe 65 degress but it is really steep and going up you have to move on excruciating slow pace on the first gear.

7. Cemetery of Negativism. This is a parody of burying negativity so they have provided tombs for negative thinking. There are so many pictures so I will have to upload them in photobucket for those interested. And other pictures for that matter.

8. The bell house. Named after Major General James Franklin bell who designed the structures in Camp John Hay. As customary I snapped photos into the rooms and toilets and closets and cabinets. When I look into the mirror, I felt a hair-raising presence and ran back towards people. I still have goosebumps from the place. That is the price of acting cool and all.

9. Malls. You went up the Sessions road and you can find SM Baguio on the summit. I have been inside there maybe 3 or 4 times in the past days. There's also Robinson's Mall somewhere on the ascent and you can ride the escalators there on to the top to enter the Baguio cathedral.

10. Mines view park. I was there around 8am. the next day and I met a two-year old St. Bernard there. His name is Moshu. Man if you can see his size, only two years old and already about one meter in length. I passed a wishing well and flicked a five-peso coin. On to the main attraction, the mountains and clouds and trees and the miniature houses are something to behold. Add the cool weather and the sun to recharge the body. According to what I read, the rays of the sun are beneficial to the body but up to only 10a.m. when the harmful rays will be intense.

11. Luisa's cafe. Its a chinese restaurant somewhere along the base of Session's road and you can easily miss or dismiss it cause of nondescript signage and appearance. But you want to have a hearty meal in Baguio, you go there and eat anything with chinese tea. The vegetables are cooked fresh, the meat tastes good and the tea cleanses your body. Had I known this place earlier, I would not have gone to the diners and eateries there.

There you go. I may have forgotten to write some places I went to and of course, there are more places to explore there cause of time constraints like the Botanical garden, the Baguio museum and the strawberry farms for a start.

Baguio is I think the center of education in the North part of the country because people from neighboring provinces go to the universities like UP Baguio, University of the Cordilleras, St. Louis University and University of Baguio to name a few. I also think the government must give special support to this area cause its like the university belt in Manila. This place suffered so much in the earthquake before and having rebuilt to today they have diamonds in the rough there.

But I guess I was looking for more authenticity and it can't be helped. Roads are needed for development and trade and commerce. Commercialization reigned in the cities and I have been to many cities and they look sound and feel the same. Nah not being negative here, just telling the reality. We need this centers of education, learning and development in every region. I guess there has to be a balance between the old and the new culture. There's twelve regions so I hope the Department of Education is up to the challenge. Of course the main problem is in the Mindanao region. Education, sports and entertainment are the weapons we needed in order for people to have unity there.

Respecting Women

We respect women because we respect our mothers. Our mother is our own blood. Can you say that about your father? Where did you come from? Isn't it from the womb and blood of your mother? Therefore your bloodline is in your mother.

I know you say I am putting my best foot forward in saying all the righteous shit. I am a sinner. If I tell you about my worst, will you still listen? I guess not. What I mean is that I will not write what is not necessary.

I like to stare at women with short hair cause I think they are lesbians so I wanna change them into real women. I almost get beaten by thug looking lesbian. I mean she was huge, I am 5'6" and she was taller and bigger, her arms and legs the size of tree trunks. And I was doing nothing except I was idling in front of a mall waiting for the rain to stop. She says Why you standing like that. Huh? Are you tough? Her face was close and her arms ready. I am a chicken so I said No. I am not tough.

I had a horrible lady boss that keeps us her subordinates always on our toes. She keeps track of our routine. In that office, we have no gym so I would go to the toilet and do some push-ups and pull-up a couple on the door jamb. Once is I get carried away so I was out for about 30 minutes. The boss accused me of sleeping in the toilet. There was a time she get really sick but she went to work anyway because we have a deadline to beat.

What I am trying to say is that women are similar to us because men and women are supposed to help each other. There are things that men cannot do that women can, like giving birth so the men contribute their genes. While there are extremely physical activities that women cannot participate in because they are naturally weaker in physique. They can give inputs to the men instead.

To improve the bloodline is to educate the women. The more the educated the women, the more the bloodline improves.

Beyond UFOs

Beyond UFOs

So how old is the Earth? The rocks we find on Earth’s surface have a great variety of ages, since different rocks solidified at different times from molten lava. The very oldest Earth rocks are about 4 billion years old, but Earth itself must be older than this, because the entire surface has been re-shaped through time. Mineral grains found within some Earth rocks date back as far as 4.4 billion years, about the same age as the Moon rocks, which must also be younger than Earth if, as currently thought, the Moon formed when a  Mars- size object blasted part of Earth’s outer layers into or-bit (a hypothesis we’ll discuss in chapter 5). The very best estimates of Earth’s age come from radiometric dating of meteorites. The oldest meteor-ites are chunks of rock that must have solidified very early in the solar system’s history, at the time when Earth and the other planets  were just beginning to form. These meteorites are about 4.55 billion years old, which means that our planet began to form at about that time.

If you read a few Creationist web sites, you may find people trying to argue that radiometric dating  doesn’t really work. But as you’ve just seen, the scientific principles behind it are quite simple and the basic physics is very well understood: From our theory of nuclear structure we can determine which nuclei will decay and which will remain stable, and measured decay rates are in good accord with theoretical predictions. The technique of radiometric dating gains further support from the fact that, in many cases, rocks contain more than one type of radioactive isotope. If radiometric dating weren’t valid, you might expect that different isotopes would give different ages for the same rock. But they don’t: Within margins of measurement uncertainty, we invariably find that dating the same piece of rock with several different isotopes gives the same age, adding to our confidence in the validity of the technique. Moreover, we can often check the results we obtain from radiometric dating against other methods of measuring ages, giving us even more confidence that the technique works. For example, with many fairly recent archaeological artifacts, we can confirm the ages obtained from radiometric dating by measuring ages from tree ring data or even from dates written on the artifacts. In addition, astronomers have discovered completely in dependent methods for estimating the ages of stars, including the Sun. Although none of these methods give an age as precise as the age we obtain from radiometric dating, they all confirm that the Sun’s age is in the range of 4 to 5 billion years. Overall, the technique of radiometric dating has been checked in so many ways and relies on such basic scientific principles that there is no longer any serious scientific debate about its validity.

You interested in the detailed explanation of scientific principles, you have to get the book.

http://www.jeffreybennett.com/

You know guys estimate is different from actual. Astronomers estimate the composition of the planets and faraway galaxies because of its color as based on Earth minerals. The assumption is that the minerals are also same as Earth. So what if there are minerals not of this Earth? That's a possibility. Like Astronomers looks at Pluto now. Its only an estimate that it is only 100 million years old. Until we get samples from it then we know whats its age and composition. What we have though is that we have tested samples on Earth and meteors.

Pussy Willows Cattails [Song Interpretation]

Pussy Willows Cattails by Kenny Rankin

Pussy willows cattails
Soft winds and roses
Rain pools in the woodland
Water to my knees
Shivering, quivering
A warm breath of spring

[Cultivating medicinal plants including bonsai, flowers and orchids. Burying your legs on rice paddies, the sweat cools you down with the wind.]

Pussy willows cattails
Soft winds and roses
Catbirds and cornfields
Daydreams together
Riding on the roadside
The dust gets in your eyes
Revelling, dishevelling
The summer nights can bring

[Daydreaming of fields of gold and planning the cold summer nights. Driving in the countryside with the car top down, you forget your shades.]

Pussy willows cattails
Soft winds and roses
Slanted rays and colored days
Stark blue horizons
Naked limbs and wheat bins
Hazy afternoons
Poising rejoicing
The wine cups to bring

[Harvesting fruits of labor and celebrating the hard day's work with wine.]

Pussy willows cattails
Soft winds and roses
Harsh lights and candle lights
Wood fire a blazin'
Soft lips and fingertips
Resting in my soul
Treasuring, remembering,
The promise of spring

[Candle light dinners and talking, reminiscing at the fireplace. Singing duets with the wife as the wife plays the guitar.]

Pussy willows cattails
Soft winds and roses

Guidance Counseling

Okay I am reading Wall of Brass written by Robert Daley. In this story, Harry Chapman rose from being a Patrolman and became New York Police Commissioner. He served the military in Vietnam and signed up as private after attending the Police Academy. He was multi-tasking as he had wanted to become President of the United States of America. He studied law while on the job. He brings books and reading materials. He asked his partners favors. That they can make the arrests and the corresponding documentation so gets off early. He was a capable officer as he shot two hold-uppers in a convenience store robbery. His first partner was Bert Farber who mentored him. He has the brains and was primed for Detective Sergeant. He reviewed and passed the exam. His favor was when you make Police Commissioner make me the Chief of Detectives. That he did. His plan was to join the FBI as an Accounting graduate. They probably investigate tax. The Bureau also take law graduates.

I am discussing career progression okay. Peter Benchley believes that the culmination of being a mediaman is to become a novelist. He was wrong. He wrote the screenplay for The Island. Why stop there. You can direct and produce.

Thus being a hardworker is overrated. You get to where you wanna be if you persevere enough. Having the mental toughness is perseverance. Solving problems is perseverance. Hardworking is perseverance. Sleepless nights is perseverance. Memorization is perseverance. You get the idea.

In 2000 the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced its 25 greatest players since its inception in 1975. In 2015 another list of 15 players were added to make it 40 greatest players. The list are as follows, in alphabetical order:

These lists illustrate the diversity of the Philippines. We come from all races. The most popular of all Filipino players Robert Sonny Jaworski has a Polish father and a Filipino mother. The Spanish influence is all over as the Spanish let Filipinos choose Spanish surnames. That was 1849. I was hooked into the PBA on 1985 more or less. Tanduay was my team. Abet Guidaben was my favorite along with David Thirdkill, Willie Generalao, those guys. Their rival is the dreaded shooters of Great Taste Coffee led by Allan Caidic, Michael Young, Ricky Brown, Bogs Adornado etcetera. Young and Thirdkill brought their amazing play on western shores. In those days, imports are expected to average 50 points. In 1988 Tanduay disbanded and the franchise was bought by Purefoods. The Hotdogs were led by the El Presidente Ramon Fernandez who was traded for Abet Guidaben. Fernandez became the cornerstone of San Miguel Beer. Purefoods was a talent-laden team composed of The Captain Alvin Patrimonio and most of the RP National Team players like Jerry Codinera, Jojo Lastimosa, Glenn Capacio, etcetera. They were sort of inducted into professional ranks. They drafted Gido Babilonia at number one. San Miguel Beer would trade for Ramon Fernandez and the rest is history. They claimed all three conference titles to win the rare grandslam in 1989. Only Benjie Paras of Shell rivaled him in excellence. He is the PBA's only rookie-mvp having won both awards in 1989. Guidaben's fate was not as storied but it was nonetheless vital as he mentored the Pepsi Cola franchise. San Miguel Beer developed into a perennial contender as they maintained a core of scorers Avelino Samboy Lim The Skywalker, later Ato Agustin and the two Dannys. Danny Ildefonso and Danny Seigle. Now in addition to the Spanish and Chinese influence, the Filipino-Foreigners will make their mark in the 90s. High scoring guards from the states were recruited. Mark Caguioa, Jeffrey Cariaso and JJ Helterbrand have registered scoring records in their respective high schools. Of course an indigenous Filipino by the name of Leo Bat-og did not make the list. Definitely not a foreign name.

Aquaman: King of the Seven Seas

THOSE WHO UNDERESTIMATE AQUAMAN do so at their peril. This hot-headed monarch commands a kingdom that covers three-quarters of the Earth’s surface and extends from the wave crests to the bottom of the Mariana Trench. Although he is, at present, a king in exile, his royal bearing is plain for all to see. Like many legendary kings, Aquaman’s royal birthright was obscured by his upbringing as a commoner. The son of Queen Atlanna and a demigod, the spirit of ATLAN, Orin was born with blond hair and the ability to communicate with sea life. These qualities sentenced the child to death by exposure on Mercy Reef, for the Atlanteans believed they were signs of the curse of KORDAX, a legendary monster.

FATHER FIGURE Arthur Curry helped raise the young Atlantean, though he is no longer a presence in
Aquaman’s life.

STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND Found and raised by the dolphin Porm, Orin believed himself to be a misshapen dolphin until lighthouse-keeper Arthur Curry took him in. Absorbing some of the language and
culture of the surface world from his adoptive parent, the boy took the nameArthur Curry and traveled north. He unknowingly fathered a child with an Inuit woman, Kako, then became the prisoner of Atlantean soldiers. Arthur befriended a fellow prisoner Vulko and escaped, wearing his prisoner’s garb of orange-scaled shirt and green pants. He soon stumbled into a wave-top battle between the PRANKSTER and the second FLASH (Barry Allen). The Flash convinced Arthur to return with him to the U.S., where promoters dubbed him Aquaman.

OLD SCHOOL Orin’s dolphin family were perfectly suited for life underwater, but Orin kept pace by learning how apply his opposable thumbs.

RETURN OF THE KING Arthur found adapting to surface life hard, but discovered a kindred spirit in the MARTIAN MANHUNTER. Like him, he became a founding member of the JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA.Now a famous super hero, Aquaman returned to Atlantis to claim the throne. He made Vulko his regent and led his realm into a golden age.The exiled boy Garth became Aquaman’s surrogate son, fighting threats to the kingdom as Aqualad. MERA then arrived from an alternate dimension and became Aquaman’s queen. Aquaman defeated threats to the realm from super-villains including BLACK MANTA, FISHERMAN, SCAVENGER, and his own half-brother OCEAN MASTER. Aquaman and Mera eventually produced an heir—Arthur Jr., sometimes called Aqua baby. The future of Atlantis looked bright.

PLUNGE INTO THE DEPTHS Shockingly, Black Manta killed Arthur Jr., setting off a string of tragedies that unraveled Aquaman’s life. Mera blamed her husband for their son’s death and abandoned him. An alien invasion shook the Justice League and Aquaman tried to reform it as a leaner, Detroit-basedsquad, but several new members died in the line of duty. A school of piranha later chewed off Aquaman’s left hand in a confrontation with the terrorist CHARYBDIS, and Arthur’s illegitimate son KORYAK (product of his liaison with the Inuit Kako) took control of Atlantis. Aquaman fought back from the brink of despair with the love of the adventurer DOLPHIN and the advice of Aqualad, now known as TEMPEST. Outfitted with a harpoon in place of a hand, Aquaman eventually won back rulership of Atlantis and defeated the sea god Triton, son of Poseidon.

IMPERIEX WAR Intergalactic conqueror IMPERIEX, attempting to hollow out the Earth, chose Atlantis as one of his battlefronts (see Great Battles, pp. 320–1). Aquaman battled one of Imperiex’s probes and seemingly died in battle, while Tempest used his magic to shift Atlantis more than 3,000 years back in time to the Obsidian Age of its ancient past. The other members of the JLA traveled back to restore Atlantis and find their lost teammate, Aquaman. Transformed into a water wraith by the evil sorceress Gamemnae, Aquaman
merged with the entire ocean to re-sink Atlantis and restore it to its proper place in the timeline.

A NEW CALLING Although Aquaman succeeded in restoring Atlantis to the modern era after its stint in
the Obsidian Age, not all Atlanteans were grateful for what they viewed as a sudden loss of power. Aquaman’s efforts to free the city and its people from the control of the sorceress GAMEMNAE resulted in
him being branded an outcast. Left on Traitor’s Reef to die, Aquaman found new life in the Secret Sea controlled by the LADY OF THE LAKE. Exchanging Aquaman’s harpoon for a hand made of enchanted water, the Lady has appointed him her “Waterbearer” and set him against supernatural perils, including the THIRST.

Let's just say that both of them are in their best that they can be at this point, Pacquiao can win via close UD if: 1) he can catch Broner, 2) Broner doesn't hit much, 3) judges won't be biased in favor of Broner... Pacquiao has to KD Broner at least twice (very unlikely to happen) in order to secure a victory in a decision...

Another Knock out will be the most desired by Manny to happen. Not a decision anymore. He knows very much that it is what the boxing world wants to.

In case he dominates AB , "THEY" will possibly give it to Pacman. As "THEY" should, to help him settle his US Tax issue ("IRS bugging").... and to pave way for PACS possible rematch with "THEIR Money GUY" ... more money for "THEM" as well. . It should be of course.

Why would they give it to Pacquiao? And why would they help him pay? Broner is a resident PBC fighter while Pacquiao is just a partner... Haymon would most likely stick to his guys... And I don't think they would meddle with the tax issue of Pacquiao...

If Broner will taste the power, he will turn into panic and forget his strategy.

Broner's copy cat style from money May will be the key of his early downfall.

Mayweather Promotions and PBC won't allow #May2Pac and they are going to sell #MayAB...

I think the MP camp already studied Broner's capability as a tailor made for Manny's style. It might not end to the distance. It will ends a KO in favor of Pac.

Broner will be punished by Manny's power punches in 5 rounds of the first 7 rounds,
Then in 8th , a left straight will kd Broner, he'll rise up only to be met by powerful
combo of punches.Groggy & unable to defend himself, ref will stop the fight.
Pacquiao by KO in 8th. Any bet folks?

Manny by UD if he is at a 100%. I just read that baboy fernandez and fortune are already criticizing freddie's return. Bad training camp? Probably, yes.

Pacman will win, but I don't know if by KO. Once Broner feels the power and speed, he will probably just try to survive well.

Pacman said he can't stop laughing looking at Broner's face, it might affect him

Mathysee as I watched his fight we could see him brawling every opponents, but with Manny he became wary in his attack. He's not that aggressive. Broner will also hesitate after Manny will do his combo.

Manny is not slowing down, his shadow boxing for combination is still terribly fast and strong. I can't see a decision result it would not even go to the distance.

Manny by UD or TKO (highly unlikely though)

Matthysse win might be Pacquiao's final KO/TKO/RTD fight if he continues to fight young champions... Broner is tough and hard to catch...

He can only increase that 39 KOs if he fights the likes of Judah, Corley or Alvarado...

Broner is easy to be upset when he failed to land his power punches, I think he will brawl Manny and might be out of composure. Then Manny will finish him as early as he can.

With this article we can now know that Manny ia not a washed out fighter.

“Friction, what friction?"

Was how Many Pacquiao’s chief trainer Buboy Fernandez greeted this Outsider in the second day of the World Boxing Association welterweight champion’s training camp on Tuesday at the Elorde Boxing Gym inside the vast Mall of Asia commercial complex in Pasay.

Your Outsider wanted his thoughts on the reported brewing trouble within the camp as an offshoot of Pacquiao’s surprising decision to rehire his former trainer of 16 years Freddie Roach to supervise the current preparation the reigning 147-pound titlist is undergoing.

“Fake news yun,” the fortly boyhood pal of the fighting senator averred with a mixture of joke and sincerity. “Kayo talagang media, hilig nyong guluhin ang maayos na situwasyon,” Buboy said smiling. “Wala namang gulo, sasabiin nyo agad magkakagulo.”

Turning serious, Buboy said what prevailed in the team upon hearing Pacquiao’s decision on Roach was surprise. “Medyo na-surprise talaga kami. Wala kaming kahina-hinalang may ganung desisyong gagawin. So, when media men approached me and of other members of the team, me, in particular couldn’t offer any answer to their questions.”

Buboy added the more surprised was he when he read the following day that he, along with conditioning coach was hurt by the decision and that will oppose it, etc. “Wala akong sinabing ganoong mga bagay na gagawin namin. Sino ba kami para mag-oppose sa desisyon ng boss?”

“What those who wrote these things still didn’t know is we have one of of slogans ‘Manny KNows’. Meaning lahat ng aming ginagawa tungkol sa boxing career ni Manny ay galing sa utak nya at sa utak naming na pinagsama-sama. Even the way we will conduct his training here in the country is a product of our collegial efforts that comprises in one program.”

To Buboy, who is taking a time out from his campaigning for vice mayor in Polangui in Albay to preside over Pacquiao’s preps for his coming fight with challenger Adrien Broner, explained that what they have started as training scheme serves as the foundation of what they will do in the next seven weeks of preparations. Gagawin naming lahat dito yan sa camp sa Manila, bring it over to GenSan to Los Angeles the next tree weeks and Las Vegas, the last week of our preparedness program.

“We, Justin, Haplas (Fernandez) and Nonoy (Neri) and everybody in the training team are one in implementing all these the past at week without coach Freddie having any say and with the approval of Manny. We will continue doing them when we move to GenSan in the second leg of the program, to Los Angeles in the third stop then to Las Vegas on the final week.”

Pacquiao’s subsequent order was, according to Buboy was clear: coach Freddie’s job will be supervisory in nature. He can suggest whatever it is, or are, in his mind and we’ll follow them for as long as they fit the program. “we’re one in this undertaking: To make Manny at his best comes fight time and win. Anything contrary to that should not be allowed.“

“Hindi naman sa kami’y nagyayabang or something to that effect, but we, this team, believe we’ve just found the way how to bring Manny back to his old fighting form during his last fight against (Lucas) Matthysse, whom he knocked out to win back the welterweight title na hindi nagawa noong nakalipas na siyam na taon.

“When Manny lost nga to (Jeff) Horn, sabi ng marami mag-retire na, laos na. But we, Manny himself, believed otherwise. So, we formulated a program, we implemented it and we proved our point albeit shocking the non-believers, whos still had the temerity to diagnose that it was Matthysse pala who’s washed out and not Manny in their effort to belittle Manny’s accomplishment.

“What they conveniently forgot was in the entire 12 weeks of preparations, the longest we had, ay ginugol namin ang lahat ng gabi at araw noong buong tatlong buwang iyon para pag-aralan kung paanong makapagpapatulog muli si Manny ng kalaban.”

“We’re only given a much shorter time preparing for this coming fight, but believe me, alam na mamin kung paano taalunin si Broner. We’ll again show all and sundry, epecially his fans, how strong, how fast, how smart Manny still is,”

With recent fight robberies, Pacquiao should be very careful... The only way to victory against Broner in a Haymon card would be via KO...

Pac right now belongs in Haymon's PBC universe.....and even though Pac's a newcomer in Haymon's fold, I'm sure Al knows how much Pac is worth to his organization. He can make far bigger fights with his stellar line-up of welterweights and Pac than with Broner. Bum decisions are always a possibility anywhere, pero sa tingin ko naman in this fight it's not Pac against a hometown boy

Pacquiao just partnered with PBC... Just like when JMM (under Zanfer), Horn (under Main Event), Algieri (under Ringstar) and Rigo (under Caribe) partnered with TR, and Khan and Algieri (under Matchroom) partnered with PBC...

Let's just hope for the fights not to be rigged... If I'm not mistaken, PBC has no (if not a few) robbery incidents in major cards so far, even with partner boxers...

The last time Pacquiao beat a prime, legit opponent was 2 years ago in Vargas and was almost robbed... While Broner isn't legit, he's in his prime and has the style difficult for Pacquiao...
