Sherwin Concepcion scored season-high 25 points, also his career-high as the UST Growling Tigers pounced on a listless UE Red Warriors late in the 4th quarter to win 74-62. The lead swung to UE 39-36 at the half. Then its Nic Cabanero's turn for UST to contribute. The 3rd quarter finished at 50-all, preparing the stage for a 62-all deadlock that went UST's way. Concepcion led all scorers with 25 points, followed by Manaytay 12, Cabanero 12 and Santos 10. For UE Catacutan scored 17 points, Pagsanjan 10 and Escamis 9. In retrospect, one might wonder how Season 84 might have been for UST if they had an import.
